Carpet Cleaning

Carpet cleaning not only improves the appearance of carpet and upholstery in the short term, it also extends the life of carpet and upholstery. Additionally, by removing allergens, carpet cleaning can improve the health of family members.

Did you know that the company that cleans your home could also clean your carpet?

Our carpet cleaning method of choice is hot water extraction (also mistakenly known as steam cleaning), because it is a proven fact that, professionally done, it is the most effective method of extracting soil, pollutants, sources of bacteria, odor and allergens from the carpet. Hot water extraction cleaning is recommended by most fiber producers and carpet mills for it's cleaning efficiency.

Many other carpet cleaning methods depends heavily upon on the use of particulate chemicals and solvents, which are not easily extracted from the carpet. Hot water extraction depends mainly on hot water and high powered vacuum extraction, which removes all catalysts from the carpet. We are also committed to the processing of our wastewater in an environmentally safe manner.

From a health standpoint, the truck-mounted system is preferred because the dirty air and humidity are exhausted outside rather than recirculated around inside the house. Additionally, truck-mounted systems are quite powerful for this type of cleaning.

Leftover carpet cleaning solutions can act as a magnet for dirt. That’s why Sears exclusive two-step carpet cleaning system includes an essential extra step - a specially formulated pH-balancing fiber rinse that removes carpet cleaning solution residue right along with deep-down dirt. So all that’s left behind is cleaner, softer, more beautiful carpet.

Cleaning Methods to Avoid:

1.Absorbent pad or bonnet cleaning2.Rotary shampoo 3.Dry foam or powder hostand4.Capture methods

Sadly once more, no So-called 'dry-cleaning" methods - bonnet cleaning, "dry" powder, 'dry" foam and "dry" chemical do not rinse your carpet. (All, by the way, use moisture / water to some degree. So the name "dry cleaning" is a misnomer, as much as the term "steam cleaning", which is what Hot Water Extraction has been known as.)

They "extract" some of the dirt and cleaning chemical either by absorbent pads, or by normal vacuuming, once the chemical is dry. Though drying is much faster, they also leave a lot of contaminants in your carpet. If done improperly, you can end up with a carpet that is less clean than before the job was started. No wonder then that manufacturers recommend hot water extraction professionally performed by certified cleaners, as the only "RESTORATIVE" cleaning method approved for warranty requirements.

When dealing with pet damage, each situation can very. In light to moderate cases where the pet urine has not penetrated to the padding, cleaning and treating with our antibacterial pre-treat and a low pH rinsing solution may be sufficient.

For more extreme situations we apply a topical treatment which stays in the carpet continuing to eliminate bacteria up to two weeks.

For more heavily affacted areas where the pet urine has penetrated into the backing and pad, carpet restoration may be needed. This invloves removing affected carpet pad and tack strip to replace with new, cleaning and sanitizing the backing, re-installing, cleaning and sanitizing the existing carpet.

The Importance Of Regular, Professional Carpet Cleaning

Many homeowners make the mistake of assuming their carpet and upholstery are clean just because they look clean. What they may not know is that, over time, even the most spotless looking carpets and upholstery collect germs, dust and soil below the surface. To increase the useful life of your carpets & upholstery, most carpet manufacturers recommend you have them cleaned regularly every 12-18 months - and that could be before you even recognize they’re dirty.

Do It Yourself Or Call A Professional Carpet Cleaner?

Some homeowners may choose to clean their own carpets and upholstery with either a heavy-duty vacuum cleaner, home steam cleaners or other portable cleaning units. These options, however, may not have the power necessary to remove deeply imbedded soil, dust, spots, and pet odors, and they may lack proper water extraction. Furthermore, portable units that use water may not achieve the temperature needed to properly care for your carpets and upholstery. The best alternative is to hire a professional carpet cleaning company that uses truck-mounted equipment and hot water extraction to remove the deep down dirt.
